Conneqtech already offers remote tachograph download for trucks and is expanding this to vans and light commercial vehicles over 2.5 tonnes operating internationally, for which the tachograph obligation comes into effect on July 1, 2026.
The complete system consists of the tachograph, a GPS tracker that retrieves the data from the tachograph, and access to the management platform where the tachograph data becomes available. With this GPS vehicle management system, you manage everything for your entire fleet in a single subscription: remote tachograph download, trip logging, and vehicle data. The subscription can be taken out directly with Conneqtech. The costs for the tachograph (hardware) and installation are not included and are quoted separately by the authorized installer.

What changes from 2026?
From 2026, stricter rules apply to light commercial vehicles operating internationally. Driving and rest times, border crossings, and vehicle data must be recorded completely correctly. Remote Tacho automatically makes these files available for processing, so you can easily comply with all new European requirements.
Who needs a tachograph?
Currently, the tachograph obligation primarily applies to vehicles over 3.5 tonnes. From July 1, 2026, light commercial vehicles (2.5–3.5 tonnes) operating internationally or performing cabotage must also be equipped with a digital tachograph. Remote Tacho ensures that these vehicles automatically remain compliant.
Are there exceptions to the tachograph requirement?
Yes, for example for vehicles that only drive within a certain radius or when driving is not the driver's primary activity. Remote Tacho helps with the correct reading and processing of data, so that exceptions can be easily applied in your systems.
What is Remote Tacho?
